Canva makes a good-looking invitation, a card or a video, but you still have to send it and collect the replies yourself; we did not find RSVP tracking on its own invitation pages. The alternatives below do that part for you: Blast, which publishes this guide, for a free animated video invitation with music that guests RSVP to from the link; Evite and Partiful for free invitations with RSVPs; Paperless Post and Greenvelope for a formal stationery look. Which one fits depends on whether you want a video, a card or a page, and what, if anything, you want to pay.
Prices and limits as published by each service in October 2026; the sources are listed at the end of this guide.
| Service | Cost to send | What guests get | How guests reply | Free guest limit |

Canva is a design tool first. For an invitation that means three things to weigh:
Blast is the alternative if what you liked about Canva was the video. Pick one of 500+ animated designs or use your own clip of up to 20 seconds, add the name, date, time and place, choose a song, and send one link by text, WhatsApp or email. Guests watch the video and reply with their name and email, with no account, no app and no code; every reply lands on your private page and in your inbox.
What you give up: there is no free-form editor and no printing. If you want to draw your own layout or order cards, that is Canva's territory.
Evite sends a card-style invitation by email, text (US and Canada) or link, and guests RSVP from the link without an account. Free designs cost nothing; removing ads, envelopes and other extras move you into a Premium package priced per event by guest count, from $17.99 for up to 12 guests.
Partiful opens an event page with a poster, themes and effects, and guests RSVP with a name and phone number verified by a texted code. It is free with optional paid designs. Music can't be embedded on the page. It suits social events among friends more than a kids' party or a family holiday, where some guests won't hand over a phone number.
Paperless Post sends a stationery-style card; free designs go to 50 recipients by direct send, and paid designs are priced in Coins per recipient. Greenvelope sends a card in an animated envelope with background music for a flat one-time price per mailing, from $19, with no ads. Both track RSVPs (Greenvelope in real time) and suit weddings, showers and formal dinners.
A Canva video exported as an MP4 of up to 20 seconds can be the clip in Blast's "Your video" option: Blast adds the name, details, song and RSVP around it, and guests reply from the link. A flat Canva card (a JPG or PNG) can't be the invitation itself on Blast; Evite sells an upload of your own design as a Premium template.
Blast publishes this guide and is one of the options in it. Details about other services come from their own websites, last checked in October 2026. Prices and features change, so confirm on their sites before you decide.
We did not find it described on Canva's own invitation pages. Its birthday-invitation FAQ tells hosts to include contact information so guests can RSVP, and RSVP tools appear in Canva's Apps Marketplace as other companies' apps. Blast, Evite, Partiful, Paperless Post and Greenvelope all collect RSVPs from the invitation itself.
Blast, which publishes this guide, is the one built for it: an animated video invitation with music, free to create and send, with RSVPs from the link and your own clip of up to 20 seconds if you want it. Canva's video maker is free too, but you send the MP4 yourself and collect replies yourself.
Yes: create a public view link or download the file and send it from your phone. Guests then reply to you however they can. Blast, Evite and Partiful links carry the RSVP with them, so the reply comes back to the tool.
Blast for a video the child wants to watch twice and replies that come to your inbox from a text link; Evite for a classic card with free designs; Partiful only if the other parents are happy to RSVP with a phone number.
